Introduction

We have currently purchased shares and have become a partner in a licensed guide outfitter territory in the South Cariboo region of Central British Columbia, Canada. The area is approximately 450 square miles, from 70 Mile House to the Canim-Hendrix Rd (north of 100 Mile House), and from Highway 97 to about 30 miles east. (See Our Location) We will be marketing and outfitting our own hunts, working as a licensed assistant guide in the guide area. Our partner will still hold the guide outfitter license. We are specializing in Cougar (Mountain Lion), Lynx, and Bobcat hunts, but are hunting Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer and Wolf as well. Central BC is known for big cougar and good mule deer. We also train and raise mountain (pack) horses for anyone to purchase. We mostly supply the outfitters as that's what these horses are bred for. They are big and good footed easy keepers, with excellent dispositions and can survive anywhere. All of our stock is Percheron crossed with Canadians, Quarter Horse, and Grade mares. For the last four years we have been assisting Dave and Ellie Wiens with the management of Stone Mountain Safaris. Now we are venturing into our own hunting adventures. Our hunts will be family orientated as well, so bring a family member.

About Us

Hello, we are the Wells family - Marty, Audrey, Brianna and Jody. We have been working for Stone Mountain Safaris for 5 years. The last 4 years we were helping manage the operations and taking in some conventions. We have been hunting and trapping all of our lives. We enjoy the outdoors and the ability to help wildlife management with hunting predators. Currently we work for Stone Mountain Safaris guiding the fall hunts for Stone Sheep, Moose, Elk, Bears, and Goats. During the summer months we are trimming and shoeing horses as well as training colts and fixing equipment. We actively trap the winter months in the Northern Rockies of BC for Wolves, Wolverine, Marten and Lynx. Our family will be joining you throughout the season. Audrey will provide home cooked meals and the girls will keep you entertained. We eagerly look forward to our new venture.
